Financial Responsibility

* The School Board spent $1.7 million planning the move of Evans High School before getting approval for the zoning to build the school.

* Laura is a practicing accountant and an Enrolled Agent which earns her the privilege of practicing before the IRS.  In these troubling economic times, it is imperative that we are willing to take a hard look at and understand the finances which dictate the majority of decisions.  With her 36 years of accounting experience, Laura has the knowledge and work ethic to truly evaluate the numbers.
 
That coupled with 14 years of leadership experience volunteering with PTSA and SAC givers her hands-on long standing relationships with administrators, staff, teachers and students.

 

Construction, Renovation & Rezoning

* Feeder patterns should be consistently followed.

* Communities and subdivisions should stay intact.

 

Parent & Community Involvement

* Increase help with programs like Junior Achievement and Boys and Girls Clubs

* Involve communities in foundation programs to obtain stadium seats and other needs

* Work with local colleges to provide more evening classes on high school campuses
