Bert Carrier Endorsement

editor-in-chief of the Apopka Chief:
You asked me earlier who I
was going to endorse in the upcoming school board race. After much prayer and
deliberation, I have decided to endorse Laura Keller for the District Seven
seat.
Although I am a neighbor of Christine
Moore-Curtis and attend the same church, I feel that Laura Keller is better
equipped to represent all of the children of District Seven. Laura has a long
and distinguished record of service to the public school children in our area.
She has been in the classrooms as an involved parent helping to support our
teachers. She has been endorsed by the Classroom Teachers Association and the
Orange Educational Support Professionals Association. I have come to know Laura
as a very honest, ethical and caring individual. Her financial background will
be a great asset to the school board as they deal with the growing financial
crisis. Not only does she give freely of her time to support our schools, she
also volunteers weekly with Habitat for Humanity here in Apopka. In a word, I
believe that Laura Keller is a genuine person who will be open and accessible to
everyone she represents as a member of the Orange County School Board.
